At Sharmans, we offer multiple pathways for aspiring solicitors to begin their legal careers.
- SQE Pathway: Candidates can progress through the Solicitors Qualifying Examinations, gaining the practical experience required to qualify while developing their legal knowledge and skills through structured work placements.
- Solicitor Apprenticeship: Our apprenticeship programme provides a work-based route into the profession, combining hands-on experience with study towards qualification, suitable for school leavers or those seeking a practical entry into law.
- Transitional LPC Route: For candidates who commenced their studies prior to the introduction of the SQE, we continue to support qualification via the Legal Practice Course and training contract route.

Work Experience Placements for Students
Every year, Sharmans offer a limited number of work experience opportunities, which take place during the summer months and are strictly limited to one week's duration.
Applications, including an up to date CV are accepted from mid-March to mid-April, after which, all applications received are appraised and the successful candidates selected and notified as soon as possible thereafter.
Please note that for insurance purposes, applicants must be at least 18 years old.
