Melany studied Law at City University and the Inns of Court School of Law in London, before qualifying as a Private Client Solicitor in 2006 with another firm in Bedford. She joined Sharmans in December 2023.
Melany works in both the Bedford and Ampthill offices of Sharmans, dealing with all aspects of Private Client work including:
- Applying for Grants of Probate and Letters of Administration
- Administration and Distribution of Estates
- Post Death Variations
- Trust Administration
- Drafting Wills for clients
- Estate and Inheritance Tax planning
- Drafting Lasting Powers of Attorney
- Dealing with Deputyship and Court of Protection matters.
MeIany likes to make her clients feel at ease when they come to see her, as they are often experiencing a difficult time in their lives, and having to share sensitive personal and family information.
We asked Melany – are you a dog or a cat person?
“I like cats, but if I have to chose, I am definitely a dog person. There is nothing like the welcome a dog gives you when you come home from work. It’s certainly more enthusiastic than the welcome you would get from any human being!”
