Our Team

Philip studied history and psychology at Nottingham Trent University before undertaking the law conversion course and qualifying as a solicitor in 1996 and subsequently as a Law Society Accredited family law mediator. He became a partner in the firm in 2006.

His areas of expertise are:

  • Advising in relation to the divorce process
  • Advising in relation to financial issues arising from divorce
  • Advising in relation to the arrangements for children in respect of both married and unmarried couples
  • Advising on financial issues in cohabitee disputes
  • Preparing Prenuptial Agreements and Postnuptial Agreements
  • Preparing cohabitation agreements
  • Advising in relation to domestic abuse issues
  • Mediating with couples who have split up
  • Collaborative law

Philip is a member of Resolution which is a body which encourages individuals to reach an agreement through compromise and negotiation which helps to avoid conflict and also helps to keep down the costs for clients. He is accredited by that organisation as a specialist in the field of dealing with and resolving financial issues. He has also been appointed as a member of the advanced tier of the Family Law Accreditation scheme through the Law Society.
